Who a GRANFRIEND is:

A GRANFRIEND is a volunteer who passes on their skills to Primary School children.

These skills are numerous. They can include reading, spelling, tables, creative writing, knitting, sewing, crochet, embroidery, chess and other games, craft work, story telling, dancing, debating and drama.
Other skills are welcome.

Each school decides when is the best time for the Granfriends to have time with the children.

BLUE CARDS are necessary & Granfriends organise and pay for all the volunteers to obtain blue cards.

Blanche O'Connor will also be in Cairns at the end of February, 2013 if you would like to see her.
If there is any other information you require please contact.
