Ribbon Embroidery for a lid on a box



Cost: $32 for members

Requirements for the box lid workshop.

1 cardboard or papier mache box no bigger than 6" across the lid.
Either square or round.  Spotlight have some.

Piece of silk or other fabric 3" bigger than the lid of the box.

Silk ribbons: 7 mm - 2 or 3 flower colours
4 mm - 2 or 3 flower colours
1 green

Cotton green stranded
Beads: small pearl or gold beads for flower centres etc

Scissors
Embroidery hoop with the inner hoop bound with bias binding . 
The hoop should be as big or slightly bigger than the box lid.

Chenille needles  size 16 and 18.
Embroidery needles  size 9 or 10

If you have some silk braid to finish off the lid, please bring it, but I have some I will bring.

Tacky craft glue.
